Joanna & Nathan | Beach Elopement Photos

Sometimes I have a vision in my head of a shoot I want to do and what I want to articulate. A story I want to tell. And one day I had the idea that I really wanted to take some self portraits on the beach of me and Nathan in our wedding gear but with denim jackets and a really Casual vibe. I wanted to do something like this to show the beauty of Beachy Elopements which I think often get forgotten about in Scotland.

But I knew a tripod on a windy beach in Scotland would be very difficult to work with so when I was chatting with my sweet friend Tamar about it she kindly offered to come and help me execute this vision so we made a trip of it and this was the outcome!

We did this shoot quite some time back - I think it was around October 2019 so it was pretty cold outside but it was so much fun!

All photos are taken by Tamar, Matt & Nathan and edited by me. I think I love these photos so much because it was such a team effort and I really value the kindheartedness and selflessness of Tamar & Matt for helping me with this - they are absolute legends and my all time favourite photographers.
