Allison & Ross had the most beautifully slow paced and intentional elopement here on Skye. They exchanged their vows at Kinloch Lodge - one of their absolute favourite places in the world and after their ceremony we ventured to a couple of spots in the south of Skye as the mist and rain began to roll in. It was truly such a beautiful Elopement and the perfect way to round off our 2024 year of Elopements.

Their day was so slow paced, relaxed and intentional including a slow morning, an emotive ceremony lead by Rona, the most delicious cake and picnic on the beach, dipping toes in the water and finishing up watching the sun set in Sligachan. Truly perfect.

Kate and Steve share a deep love for Scotland. It’s where Kate studied and where Steve proposed and so they knew they wanted to celebrate their wedding in both Edinburgh and Glencoe. Day one was their ceremony day in Edinburgh followed by taking portraits throughout the old town till dusk. Then, two days later we met in Glencoe at Sunrise to continue the adventure. Their days will live with us forever!

Sean & Shelby eloped on Halloween by the shores of Loch Etive in Glencoe. Their families joined them all the way from the states and it was so so special! As the day went on we were treated to the most incredible Golden Hour basking through the valley which was the most beautiful way to end the perfect day!

Casey & Nick chose to Elope, just the two of them, on the Isle of Skye. They made and registered their own tartan, drank whisky from the Quaich and celebrated their story in a way that was so tied into who they are. It was so incredibly special in every single way and we feel honoured to have been a part of it!

Emily & Andy Eloped in Glencoe as the rain howled around them. Joy never wavering - not even for a second. We had the absolute best time exploring Glencoe with them and celebrating them as they not only stepped into marriage but also had recently found out they were expecting also. Diana & Antonio celebrated their 10 year anniversary by hiking up the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye and renewing their vows. It was such an honour to be a part of something so incredibly special and beautiful. One of the sweetest moments from their day was when we bumped into a couple on the hike who were also celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary and as we passed them by we heard them say to each other “we should have done that”.

During their planning process Charlotte had sent me a little video of when her and Jared were just kids running about & so of course had to include that in as a wee surprise.

Bridget & Liam embarked on a two day adventure for their Elopement on the Isle of Skye. We spent day 1 exploring the south of Skye by road tripping the Sleat Peninsula, they had a beautiful Quaich ceremony lead by Francesca Leigh, ate a picnic on the beach and enjoyed the sunshine whilst it lasted. On day 2 we explored the North of Skye starting at the Quiriang in the heavy mist. It really was a beautiful adventure!

Sarah & Nate Eloped in Torrin in the south of the Isle of Skye and it really was the perfect spot. We had the place to ourselves and Neil was able to bring them together in marriage with such a beautiful ceremony. They had Alan and his bagpipes which was an incredible way to include more of Scotland in their day. After their ceremony we explored the area and drove down to Elgol. Everywhere we turned we were met with an outstanding view. Their Elopement was just so special!

Toward the end of September we road tripped up to the Isle of Skye with Naomi (Joanna’s sister) and Naz to capture a little of their story. With the pandemic their wedding plans had changed countless times and so in the end they decided to split their day into 3 celebrations: Their legal ceremony, a garden party with speeches & cake and a finally a road trip to Skye where they’d re-read their vows, explore a new place and have their photos taken!

Merran & John Eloped in secret on the shore of Loch An Eilein. They tied the Knot and drank from the Quaich as they stepped into marriage and it was the most beautiful and emotional ceremony!

They Eloped at Sunset amongst the trees and Scotland treated us to a golden sky.

Bethany & Izaac along with their wee boy Kobi renewed their vows looking out over the three sisters of Glencoe.

The rain came pouring down and the wind picked up and it was just so so special to be able to photograph and film this super sweet renewal of vows between two very loving humans!

A not so cold December day. Fraser & Jo along with their family and friends Eloped in the Scottish Highlands. They planned everything in just a matter of weeks with the wonderful help of @ellamaielopements . And it all came together so beautifully. They had a lovely relaxed morning complete with champagne for breakfast before heading an hour down the road for their ceremony in the most beautiful spot overlooking the water. We then spent the afternoon with them stopping off at lots of beautiful spots in Glencoe as the fact they were now married sunk in! They had mentioned to us their love of all things vintage so we brought along our camcorder that used to belong to Nathans Nana and captured some special memories for them on that.

Jamie Lee & Nick had planned to Elope in Glencoe along with their family and friends but with Covid restrictions not allowing any guests they decided to Elope anyway. We had the honour of not only being their Photographer & Videographer (on behalf of Tamar Hope Photography & Matt Willoughby film) but also being their witnesses. We loved spending time with them as they stepped into marriage, drank hot chocolate and just took in the breathtaking landscapes Glencoe has to offer.

The Elopement of Kelly & Pete. This day was special and will forever remain one of the most special days we’ve had the honour of capturing. Together with their two beautiful children and Kelly’s sister they tied the knot as snow fell around them. They read to each other their intimate vows and their daughter read to them a poem. Alongside photographing and filming Elopements we also offer education to other photographers & videographers. One of the things we do is host workshops including a styled elopement so that photographers and videographers can have the experience of capturing an Elopement as close to how a real Elopement would be. Our most recent workshop was a videography oriented day where Beth & Jake modelled for us. Ashton delivered a beautiful ceremony as he would for any other Eloping couple and Beth & Jake read vows they wholeheartedly meant to one another and it was truly beautiful.

Julia & Roddy tied the knot and jumped the broom on the shores of An Lochan Uaine (also known as the green loch) up in the Cairngorms. Snow had recently fallen and it was just all round magical! They were accompanied by their nearest and dearest and it was just such a special day to be a part of!
