The Macleod Family | Edinburgh Adventure Session

Last year we were planning a Styled Shoot and Catriona & Matthew kindly offered to Model for us - we had so much fun hanging out with them and getting to know them and we instantly became good friends! A year later we had the absolute honour of being booked by them to capture some sweet family photographs for them whilst they were down in Edinburgh for a weekend!

This sweet Family of 4 (soon to be 5) are some of the most incredibly kindhearted and joyful souls we have the pleasure of knowing and it was just so so lovely to capture them together as a family!

I don’t often get to shoot families and it’s still all very new to me but I went into this session with an open mind and just let Florence & Micah (their two little ones) lead the way! I loved just stepping back and seeing what would happen and capturing that rather than offering prompts like I usually would for a couples session! I think it allowed some of the most beautiful raw moments to just happen naturally and authentically and it honestly just made me fall absolutely in love with capturing family sessions in this way! What a dream!
