Aisling & Joe | COVID Wedding in Nottingham & Dublin
This wedding was extra special. I have known Aisling all my life, we’ve been best friends since the day we met - we even had our own top secret club called the Terrific Twos where we’d have meetings and discuss the my secret unicorn books, cover ourselves in fairy dust and jump off the bed hoping we would fly.
Aisling and I have been by each others sides through all seasons of life and it was beyond a pleasure and a blessing to be by her side on her wedding day to the love of her life - Joe.
Aisling and Joe really do bring out the best in each other and it’s been such an honour watching their relationship flourish over the years. They are both so selfless - this is something that was mentioned in the ceremony and in the speeches and it couldn’t be more true. Together their heart for people is beyond encouraging. As they are ‘people’ people COVID really did have a huge impact on their wedding. They had initially planned for a big wedding surrounded by all the people they love in life but when COVID hit their plans had to change but they kept their eyes on the prize: Marriage and their Hearts on the Lord and their ‘not what was planned for’ wedding turned out to be the best wedding everyone there had ever been to.
They spilt their Wedding over 2 days. Day 1 included the Ceremony for all of Joe’s family based in Nottingham (with Aisling’s Irish family joining them on Zoom) followed by an intimate lunch in Joe’s back garden (which literally looked like a permanent wedding venue - I was actually SHOOK) after lunch they had a long break where everyone chilled out and Joe’s family left and a couple of their friends arrived. They danced, cut cake and had an absolute blast. Then 2 days later we all flew over to Dublin to celebrate again with Aisling’s family. Then on the 20th August they broadcast their Wedding Videos Nathan made for all their guests to tune in and watch together - so special!
I honestly couldn't believe this wasn’t their plan the whole time. Both days were absolutely perfect and Joe and Aisling were beaming from cheek to cheek all day long.
Nathan & I feel so honoured to have been able to be there and capture such a wonderful time in their lives!
