Katie & Jason | Isle of Skye Elopement

Katie & Jason’s Elopement was such a dream! We travelled up to the Isle of Skye where we met them at their beautiful AirBnB for the last hour of getting ready. Whilst they were getting ready the rain came pouring down and we were looking out towards the Quiraing with all our fingers crossed for a wee dry spell for whilst they read their vows. From the moment we stepped outside the front door of their AirBnB the rain stopped and didn’t pick up again until we were a 10 minute walk away from the car down at the beach and we ended up having a stand off with a cow!

Their ceremony was so so so beautiful, they included the Scottish Traditions of Hand Fasting and drinking from the Quaich which is always such a lovely thing to witness! After their ceremony we explored the Quiraing, fought the wind and squinted at the harsh sunlight none of us expected to see after the intense rain only moments before!

After our exploration of the Quiraing we headed down to the beach where Katie & Jason took off their shoes and paddled in the sea, listening to the water as it gently came in and out. We didn’t really notice that the tide was coming in until we turned around and saw Jasons shoes submerged in the water… oops! We then looked up at the Sky to see the clouds had turned grey and within seconds the rain started to pour - we headed back up to the cars as fast we could - laughing at just how funny it was that we had managed to stay dry for so long! Once back at the cars we decided to head back to Katie & Jasons where we all enjoyed a slice of their Vegan Wedding Cake - it was delicious!
