James & Vicky | Glencoe Winter Elopement
A while ago Tamar & I were sat in a coffee shop and we started chatting about how one day we dreamt of hosting a shootout for people to come to to build a portfolio for shooting Elopements in Scotland.
Now Scotland is BEYOND perfect for an Elopement in every season and every form of weather but so often we both found ourselves getting enquiries for Summer Elopements and we realised not many people had shot winter Elopements so couples didn’t have much to inspire them that winter could be just as magical. So Tamar & I joined together to create These Wild Lovers which we are super excited to watch grow over the years to come. We then reached out to our wonderful Scottish Wedding Community to see if Katie from Style Your Spaces and Emily from Unbridaled Boutique fancied working with us and they were so down for it. We then found models and launched our very first shootout.
We were so blessed to have such a wonderful group of creatives come and shoot with us and we’ve loved seeing everyone else’s images as they’ve been adding them to their Elopement Portfolios.
If you are thinking of Eloping in Scotland and are wondering if you should do it in winter my answer is YES.
Yes, because theres less tourists about.
Yes, because the highlands turn a gorgeous burnt orange & green.
Yes, because it makes it all the more an adventure.
Yes, because it may just snow and you’ll feel like you are in Narnia.
It’s honestly worth freezing your butt off for and don’t worry we’ll have a flask of hot tea ready for you, we can hop back in the car and blast the heating whilst listening to your favourite tunes, we can bring heat packs and blankets and give your cuddles to keep you warm!
