Bridget & Liam | Isle of Skye Elopement
When Liam & Bridget first inquired with us we just knew they were our kind of people. Bridget wrote “Mountains & giant bodies of water bring peace and calmness to me, so you can imagine Scotland is such a haven for us”.
These two were absolute heros and down for all the adventures Skye would throw at them!
We spent 2 beautiful days with Bridget & Liam on the Isle of Skye! They had such a special ceremony lead by the wonderful Francesca in front of a Dunscaith Castle and with the Cuillin Mountain Range on the horizon. After their ceremony we spent some time together capturing them amongst the gorgeous landscapes around the Sleat Peninsula, chatting away and enjoying a delicious picnic platter! We then finished up day one at their favourite pub - Bar Am Praban where they read some letters from their family!
Day 2 was supposed to be a boat trip to Loch Corouisk but due to bad winds the boat got cancelled! BUT no change of plan on Skye is a bad change of plan so Bridget & Liam embraced the contingency plan with open arms! We met up with them in the North of Skye to road trip around the peninsula. Starting the day off at the Quiraing where the mist sure did roll in and Skye reminded us why she’s called ‘the misty isle’. We roamed the epic landslide embracing the moody weather and then continued our adventure by stopping off at An Corran Beach in Staffin - a beautiful black sand beach! We then headed to our favourite little spot in the North of Skye: Loch Langaig before finishing the day up at Duntulm Castle.
These two days we had the honour of documenting for Bridget & Liam really were an adventure and a perfect example as to why people say ‘prepare for all weathers’ when coming to Skye. We experienced intense sunshine leaving us all a little sunburnt, wind, rain and mist and it was all a dream.
