McKenna & Matt | Giants Causeway Adventure Session
I don’t think I’ll ever truly find the words to express how special this day was. We set our alarms for 4am and headed down the dark Northern Ireland country roads to Giants Causeway where we met McKenna & Matt ~ two beautiful souls who got married 3 years ago and have been eagerly awaiting their wild Honeymoon Adventure to Ireland & the UK!
The wind & rain had been howling all through the night but our hearts were hopeful for a dry spell. We wandered down to one of the most iconic spots on earth - Giants Causeway - having the place entirely all to ourselves. The sky remained dark and then the light came with a little glimpse of a cloudy red sunrise peeping through, the waves came crashing up against the rocks & the birds soared the skies above us! To be in a place like this with people like these two truly is such an honour and I will forever get emotional about it!
McKenna is an incredible photographer who I am forever constantly inspired by and I am so grateful Instagram brought us together. (You can follow her incredible work here: @mckrhynephoto ) Getting to finally meet the two of them in person, it felt as though we’d already been friends for years and that honestly just fills my heart with so much joy. Being a photographer can be lonely at times as we don’t have a ‘place of work’ or colleagues and it can be quite isolating, but getting to meet so many incredible people and have new friendships blossom is such a special thing - so when I say I love my couples I really wholeheartedly mean it!
We cannot thank McKenna & Matt enough for choosing us to capture a little of their story in a place that will forever mean so much to them! They are both an absolute dream and I am still pinching myself that this trip to Northern Ireland to meet and capture them was real!
