Gabby & Billy | Glencoe Adventure Session

Part of what we do as photographers is offer mentorship sessions giving other photographers the space to come and learn from us in a practical setting.

This sweet adventure session was part of a 1-1 mentorship session we were doing for the lovely Julia over at Julia Grosfeld Photography. She is in a season of expansion whilst she works on broadening her horizons and offering her photography services across Europe and further afield. She had chosen to learn from us as she was interested in how we prompt and direct our couples during their sessions and focusing on the more intimate up close moments as well as framing couples within a landscape.

We had the lovely Gabby & Billy modelling for us and they were just the absolute perfect people for the job. Gabby & Billy are both photographers themselves so have a good awareness when it comes to taking photos but they’ve very rarely been the other side of the camera and so this was a really great experience for them to have a taste for what its like on the other side.

We met everyone for a drink before hand so we could learn about Gabby & Billy’s story and get to know them before we headed out into Glencoe to actually shoot.

Getting to teach is one of my absolute favourite things - I absolutely love getting to meet incredible photographers like Julia and just continue to watch them grow and see where they end up!
