Chantelle & Scott | Loch An Eilein Elopement
Chantelle & Scott along with their nearest and dearest (including their two wee boys) Eloped on the shores of Loch An Eilein in late June this year. They truly had been on such a roller coaster of a journey getting to this point with this being their third wedding date planned - but oh my goodness was it worth the wait.
The one word I would use to describe their day would be ‘joy’. Everyone was so full of joy and laughter.
Nathan & I drove up to the Cairngorms National Park the day before so we could visit the Loch and scout it out as we’d never been and we just fell in love with it instantaneously. The morning of we headed to their accommodation to spend an hour with them and their two little ones who were so full of spider-man energy as they all got ready for the day. We then headed to Loch An Eilein where their beautiful hand fasting ceremony took place. Tears were shed and the whole ceremony was filled with laughter and emotion - it was an absolute honour to be a part of it!
Once their ceremony had finished we wandered a little way around the loch - laughing lots and just capturing the two of them as it all sank in. As we were wrapping up their portraits the heavens opened and we all headed back to their accommodation where they had a chef come and prepare them some delicious food. Spending this part of the day with them and their family was so special - I always think of this part of the day as the aftermath and it is just so beautiful. They kicked back with champagne & beer cosied up by the fire and relaxing with their loved ones.
This day was something special and Nathan & I feel so honoured and blessed to have been trusted to capture their day. And we are so very grateful to have gained new friendships in doing so.
